I am bilingual from a young age in english and spanish, although over the last five years I find myself interacting more in spanish as I live in the Canary Islands and it is a common language amongst most of my family of mixed nationalities. I find it to be a passionate language aswell as one ideal to express strong emotions. Whereas english, for example, is more conservative. I love learning languages even though it takes me a while to get the grasp of a new tongue at the beginning. What I love the most is that you don´t have to be fluent in any language in order to use it. Communication comes easily with a few words and willing participants. None the less many believe otherwise and feel they must hide their early linguistic abilities in order not to make a fool of themselves. If only we could work past this barrier, we could all go very far indeed. Click for less
