Ken Hirai's Early Years
Ken Hirai, born January 17, 1972, in Osaka, Japan, debuted in 1995 with “Precious Junk.” He rose to fame in 2000 with “Rakuen” and the album The Changing Same. His 2004 single “Hitomi o Tojite” was the best-selling song in Japan that year. “Pop Star” (2005) and the 2006 compilation Utabaka cemented his popularity. Blending J-pop, R&B, and soul, he’s known for emotional vocals and creative videos.

Kana Nishino is a J-pop singer known for her love-themed lyrics and R&B-influenced style. She debuted in 2008 and became famous with hits like “Aitakute Aitakute” and “Best Friend”. Her 2010 album To Love was a major success. Nishino became the first Heisei-born female solo artist to play Tokyo Dome in 2017. In 2019, she went on hiatus after over a decade of chart-topping popularity and returned to the music industry in 2024.
